The days are long…but the years are short.

Jenny Ofman

Jenny is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with ten years of experience working with children and families in crisis. She began her professional career at a therapeutic day school outside of Chicago before moving to a mental health care center. Jenny has extensive experience working with children who have been diagnosed with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Depression and other emotional disabilities.

Jenny married her high school sweetheart and is a mom to three beautiful children — a five year old daughter and three year old son and a new baby. After the birth of her second child, Jenny switched gears and began her life as a stay-at-home mom.  She now uses her clinical skills and “mom-smarts” daily with her own children who provide her with ample opportunity to explore her passion of understanding the connection between behavior and communication.

In her free time, Jenny enjoys listening to the Sound of Music soundtrack on repeat, watching Frozen 2, and putting away toys she’s 99% sure she’s cleaned earlier that day. But in her other free time, Jenny genuinely loves spending time with her family, getting a mani/pedi, and, when possible, enjoying a meal without feeling rushed.

Sheena Watterson

Sheena is a special education administrator for a school outside Chicago. Before stepping into administration and out of the classroom, she taught both general education and special education. She began her teaching career at a therapeutic day school before moving into a coaching and professional development role supporting school teams around the areas of behavior management and inclusive practices. Sheena has presented trainings on topics including Autism, De-escalation Strategies, Trauma-Informed Practices, Coaching from a Social-Emotional Lens, and much more.

During their first year of college, Sheena met her future husband, but they didn’t start dating until almost 15 years later! They went through IVF for their first pregnancy (fun fact: Sheena’s sister-in-law was their embryologist). They now have two children together — a four year old son and two year old son.

Sheena is still trying to find the balance as a working mom. When she’s not working, she can be found in the kitchen testing out new recipes from Pinterest or playing dinosaurs with her boys. As a BRCA2+ previvor and daughter of a breast cancer survivor, she is also passionate about supporting women who are high-risk for breast and ovarian cancer, as well as helping children navigating their parent’s cancer journey. She enjoys traveling, and dreams of becoming the next Rick Steves — mom version.
